Menu Plan Monday October 29

Welcome home Monday!  Whatever.

I was hoping that this would be an easy week since I was noticing that several of our weekly activities are cancelled for this week.  Then it occurred to me that it was Halloween week.  Yikes!

I do get sort of excited about Halloween.  My boys are dressing up as Vampires and my daughter will be the cutest ghost ever.  I can't wait to see them all dressed up.

So anyway, here is my plan for this week...what there is of it.

Friday Favorites

I am so glad it is Friday!!!

We have had quite the eventful last few weeks at the Beane house.  My String Beane had pneumonia.  He ended up being admitted to the hospital last week and was there the better part of a week!  Thankfully he is home and healthy now.  He went back to school Tuesday and has loved every minute of it!

I am exhausted!  I do pretty good while everything is going on in the 'heat' of the hospital stay, but when I get home and everyone else gets back to 'normal', I want to crash.

On the bright side of being in the hospital for a week.... I had plenty of Internet time!  As a result, I have had tons of new Friday Favorites to post.

Here are my top 5 Favorites.

Photobucket
Butterfinger Candy Bark
I actually made homemade Butterfingers last Christmas.  They are amazing!  And you can make them milk free!  Shelly has tweaked them to make it an easier process.  Yea!

Apple Enchiladas

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sandwich
Who doesn't love cookie dough?  It is way better than the actual cookie.

Photobucket
Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls
I am making these for Christmas morning!

Apparently, hospital food makes me have a sweet tooth!

Friday Favorites

Hip, Hip Hooray for Friday!

Friday has totally become my favorite day of the week for so many reasons.  School is out for the weekend, obviously.  We have no obligations on Friday nights.  Shark Tank comes on T.V.  The list could go on.

I also love the Friday brings Friday Favorites.... here are my top 5 favorites for this week.

Boston Market Cornbread
I can't wait to give this cornbread a try.

Amish Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Pumpkin Waffles with Bacon Maple Butter

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Pancakes

Snickers Brownies
I think I can make this milk free.  I am going to give it a try.

I clearly would die of a carb overload and gain 300 pounds if I tried all of these finds at the same time!

What have you found this week?

Pumpkin Spice Krispie Treats

So,  I was innocently walking through Walmart the other day when I saw Jet Puff pumpkin Spice marshmallows.  I quickly snuck them in my shopping cart before any of the little Beanes saw them and started whining for them.

As soon as I got home, I knew I wanted to try them in Krispie Treats.  Oh Em Gee!  These things turned out awesome!  I am now on a mission to find some more of the pumpkin spice marshmallows.

Here is what you do.

Ingredients
3 Tablespoons margarine (Flieshmann's unsalted is milk free)
1 8oz bag of Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows
5 cups of rice cereal

Directions
In a large pot, over medium low heat, melt the margarine and marshmallows.  Stir in the rice cereal and coat the cereal completely.  Dump the cereal mixture into an 9x13 Pyrex dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray.  Spread the cereal mixture evenly in the dish.  Cool for about 30 minutes, if you can stand to wait that long.

These things are super yummy, as my Butter Beane would say.  They are a great Fall treat for the lunch box or at home!
