Menu Plan Monday Sept 5th

Another week of keeping up with a school schedule is down!  Mr. Homegrown and I are exhausted.  String Beane seems unaffected.  How is this possible?

We are falling asleep on the sofa at 9:00pm.  I cannot keep my eyes open.  Soccer has also started back up.  I don't think I can add any thing else and still keep my pleasing personality!

Having a menu plan has really helped.  That is one less thing that I feel like I have to do each day.  I highly recommend doing a weekly menu plan if you do not already.

Last week's meals went well.  There were some hic ups along the way but things went well.  The big hit of the week was the Taco Salad!  I was hoping that the little beanes would like it but they really LIKED it!  They did pick the lettuce out and I gave them some extra Fritos to scoop the meat and beans up.  I wish you could have seen little Jelly Beane eating this!  Priceless.  The chicken and dumplings are always a hit with us and so are the Waffles of Insane Greatness.  The Crispy Shrimp and Pasta was the hic up.  String beane loves shrimp.  But these shrimp had visible black pepper flakes on them.  That seemed to throw things.  I had to wipe off his shrimp and hear about how he only likes "plain" shrimp.  I also have to alter this recipe with non milk ingredients to make it safe for us.  I really did like it.  So did Mr. Homegrown.  Overall, it is a keeper.  Just not quite as "kid pleasing" as I normally like.  We have not gotten around to the Coconut chicken yet.  I am making that tonight so I will give an update next week.

Here is our menu plan for this week.
