Menu Monday August 15-21

Have you ever had a week where you already know you have bitten off more than you can chew?  That is this week for me.  There is so much to do.  Butter Beane is having his 3 year old birthday party Saturday followed by a birthday dinner for my Brother and Sister in law.  That alone is a lot.  String Beane is having his end of season T-Ball party Thursday night.  And the most overwhelming thing is String Beane will start kindergarten next Monday!  I think I may need a pill!  There is so much that I could say about how overwhelming it feels for him to go to kindergarten.  But I won't.

We are keeping this weeks menu pretty simple.  I am doing a lot of repeat winners so things should run smoothly for me.  Last week went really well.  The soup was a winner this time with String Beane.  Butter Beane was still unimpressed with soup.  Little Jelly Beane ate the veggies well.  The pizza bread was a huge hit and was moved to the family favorites.  String Beane had requested chicken and dumplings and they were delicious.  Everyone ate them up.  The ribs were a winner with Mr. Homegrown - too saucy for the little beanes.  Whatever.  The gyros and the baked chicken met approval but did not overly impress the little beanes.

Here is this weeks menu.  I hope you have a yummy week.

  1. Popping over from Organized Junkie's Linky. Cooking family favorites on a busy week is definitely the way to go. I just love that you call your kids by different beans, so cute. I look forward to following your blog.
